Do you have a vision impairment or sight loss? Do you know or support someone who does?

The Royal National Institute of Blind people (RNIB) are hosting social spaces in some Glasgow Life Libraries with the aim of breaking down barriers and reducing isolation for blind and partially sighted people.

Peer support is a great way of sharing advice and our friendly staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide support and further information about our services. Whether you’d like to discuss the latest technology or your favourite audiobook, we’re here to provide a friendly space to meet others, no matter your level of sight loss.

We can also:

Provide information about sight loss

Refer to local sensory teams and organisations

Signpost to local activities and events for visually impaired people.

We’re keen to bring together everyone with a vison impairment and take on board your feedback to deliver the best possible service. Our Community Hubs currently run on a monthly basis although this can increase based on demand.

Come along to a RNIB Community Hub in:

GoMA Library            11am - 1pm on the second Wednesday of the month

Baillieston Library     10:30am - 12 noon on the second Thursday of the month
